Gateway to Hope Announces New Board Members

ST. LOUIS (FEBRUARY 13, 2017) – Francine I. Katz and Dr. Becky Lynn have recently joined Gateway to Hope’s Board of Directors.

Francine I. Katz joined the Gateway to Hope Board of Directors in July 2016.  Francine served as Chief Communications Officer for Anheuser-Busch, Inc. until 2008 when the company was sold.  In that role, she oversaw the departments responsible for all internal and external communications both domestically and internationally, as well the company’s corporate social responsibility group. Katz was a member of the company’s Strategy Committee, which was comprised of the company’s 17 most senior officers.  In addition, Katz has served as a board member of Anheuser-Busch, Inc., Anheuser-Busch International, Inc. and Busch Entertainment Corporation.

Katz joined Anheuser-Busch as a corporate attorney in the company’s legal department. Prior to that, she practiced law with the St. Louis law firm of Armstrong, Teasdale, Schlafly & Davis.

Katz holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Washington University and a law degree from St. Louis University Law School.  She and her husband, Simon, have two daughters and two sons. Since leaving Anheuser-Busch, she has worked as a consultant.

Dr. Becky Lynn is the Director of the Center for Sexual Health and an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Louis University. She runs a clinic for cancer survivors who experience sexual problems related to their cancer diagnosis or treatment. As a breast cancer survivor, she devotes much of her time not only to taking care of patients with cancer, but also actively fundraising for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Breast Cancer Care and the American Cancer Society. She once rode her bicycle from London to Paris to raise money for breast cancer research and support.

Dr. Lynn completed medical school at Georgetown University in Washington, DC and her residency at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis and is currently working on her Masters in Business Administration.  She practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology at Capital Region Medical Center and the University of Missouri – Columbia before relocating to St. Louis. In addition to overseeing the Center for Sexual Health, she is the Medical Student Clerkship Assistant Director and enjoys teaching medical students and residents. She was formerly a board member and then Medical Director of the Missouri Family Health Council.
